Watery Bodies explores the intricate tapestry of life on our water-rich planet, highlighting the ubiquitous presence of aqueous connections. This shared reliance on water not only unites us but also intertwines us with the bodies of various plants, animals, and bacteria as water flows through us and between us. As a result, we become a part of these life forms, and they, in turn, become an integral part of us.
This body of work was inspired by the chapter ‘Hydrofeminism: Or, On Becoming a Body of Water’ by Astrida Neimanis from the book ‘Undutiful Daughters.’
Watery Bodies was exhibited at Brunswick Street Gallery from November 16th until December 3rd 2023.
